Terms of Service

1. Who we are

Relay is operated by Relay. By creating an account, starting a trial, or using Relay you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the service.

2. What Relay does

Relay is a conversational study and time-planning assistant. You talk to it through a connected chat channel (such as Telegram or WhatsApp) or the web dashboard. It turns what you say into tasks, study sessions, spaced-repetition schedules and calendar events, and it may read and write to a calendar you connect.

3. Accounts

You must be at least 16 years old and provide accurate account information. You are responsible for activity under your account and for keeping access to your connected chat accounts and calendars secure. Notify us at support@relay.app if you believe your account has been compromised.

4. Trials, plans and billing

Paid plans start with a 14-day free trial unless stated otherwise. A payment method is collected at checkout; if you do not cancel before the trial ends, the plan renews automatically at the price shown at checkout until you cancel. Prices are in US dollars and exclude any taxes that apply.

You can cancel at any time from Settings → Billing. Cancellation stops future charges and your plan stays active until the end of the period you already paid for. We do not refund partial periods, except where the law requires it.

5. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • use Relay to break the law, infringe someone’s rights, or harass another person;
  • upload malware or content you have no right to share;
  • attempt to access another user’s data, probe the service, or bypass usage limits;
  • resell or redistribute the service without our written permission.

We may suspend or terminate an account that abuses the service, imposes unreasonable load, or creates legal or security risk. Where practical, we will warn you first.

6. AI output is not advice

Relay uses large language models. Output can be wrong, incomplete, or based on a misunderstanding of what you said — including schedules, priorities and study advice. It is a planning tool, not a doctor, lawyer, financial adviser or exam authority. We do not guarantee any exam result, grade, deadline or outcome. Check anything important before you rely on it.

7. Your content

You keep ownership of the messages, notes, tasks, files and calendar data you give Relay. You grant us a limited licence to store, process and transmit that content only to run the service for you. We do not sell your content and we do not use it to train our own models. Third-party model providers process your prompts under their own terms; see the Privacy Policy for the list of processors.

8. Availability and changes

We aim to keep Relay available but we do not promise uninterrupted service. Features may change, and we may need to suspend the service for maintenance or security. If we make a material change to these terms we will notify you before it takes effect; continuing to use Relay after that means you accept the change.

9. Termination and account deletion

You can delete your account at any time from Settings → Delete account. Deletion cancels your subscription and removes your account and personal data as described in the Privacy Policy. We may terminate this agreement if you materially breach it or if we discontinue the service, in which case we will refund any unused prepaid period.

10. Disclaimers and liability

Relay is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind to the extent permitted by law. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Relay is not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential damages, or for lost profits, data or opportunities. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded by law, including for death, personal injury or fraud.

11. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction where the operator is established, without regard to conflict of law rules. Mandatory consumer protections in your country of residence still apply.
